There are many alternatives to Windows Explorer file copy, move operations and just like other players, Ultracopier is also an app to make the file copy and move operations easier. Until the release of Windows 8, there was not much features offered in file copy. But in Windows 8, additional features have been added, but it lacks in many.
Ultracopier is an advanced and yet easy-to-use application, designed to enable users to copy or move files and folders with a few clicks. Ultracopier adds the possibility to pause and resume the transfer, control the copy speed, queue up new jobs and complete the task despite any error encountered.
To start the process, you can add a new Copy, transfer or move request from the system tray. It will ask for the from folder and then you need to specify the to folder. Once set, the copy or transfer process starts. It shows the list of files being copied and also their speed of copy. By default, the application is set to automatically replace Windows’ file copy/move functionality. But for this you will need to restart Windows Explorer once you have installed the app.
It works with all devices: hard drives, USB drives, CD and DVDs.
