Although Google Chrome provides a nice interface to access the browsing history, you need to access it from the tools menu and moreover it opens in a new tab. History Viewer Lite is a neat extension for Chrome which allows you to view browsing history without having to navigate away from the current page. The extension uses Chrome’s built-in history viewer and functions so it’s lightning fast and it doesn’t require any unnecessary permissions.
Once installed, you can access the history by clicking the icon on the toolbar. You can search the history and clicking on any item, opens it in new tab. The extension allows you to customize the history, you can set the amount of history to be shown.
