Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites and it is available in many international languages. You also might have non-English speaking friends on Facebook and their updates might not be readable to you. Facebook Translate is an useful Firefox add-on which when installed will allow you to easily translate status updates and comments in other languages. You can set the default language for the add-on in the settings.
Under each status update or comments, you can see an new link “Translate” which will translate the update to your preset language. The language can be set from Tool-> Add-ons-> Options for Facebook Translate.
The add-on uses the Google Translate API for translating updates for you. There are many languages supported by the add-on.
