If you want to group the commonly used programs in Windows into different categories for easy access, then TidyDesk might do the job for you. TidyDesk is a simple program manager that helps you organize your programs in 10 categories. You can add, edit, remove program’s links with an efficient way and replace your desktop icons (referring to exe files) with just one.
The application has by default 10 categories which can be renamed, but there is no option to add more categories. Limitation of this tool is that only 50 files for each category and 200 characters for each program path can be used.
The application is completely portable and settings are stored in the config file attached, just unzip the file tidydesk.zip in a folder and run tidydesk2.exe.
