ThinkFree Viewer is a Firefox Add-on which enables you to view any documents, Excel file or presentations inside Firefox without installing any Office suite. You can view office document with ThinkfreeFox & Thinkfree Conversion Server. The supported file extensions are doc, docx, dot, rtf, xls, xlsx, xlt, ppt, pptx, pot, potx, pps, ppsx, hwp.
To use Thinkfree viewer, right click on any document link and select “View with ThinkFree” or “Open with ThinkFree” in the Firefox context menu.
The document can be viewed in either HTML format or Java Applet Viewer based on the settings for Add-on. The viewer require Java Applet loader if Java Applet viewer is selected. Java applet viewer has better quality of display than HTML viewer.
This Firefox add-on is an experimental add-on and the conversion of document was not very fast as expected and also the Java Applet loader took some time to load the converted document.
I m using another firefox add-on Vuzit (NODOBE). it supports 38+ file formats and is really great.
Saved time to download Adobe reader after reinstalling windows 🙂
Can this be used to view local documents as well?
