Outlook 2010 is one of the most popular desktop email client which comes with lots of features. When you receive a new email with an attachment, you can actually double click on the attachment and view it without having to manually save it to any location. When you open this way, the copy of attachment is saved automatically to the temp folder. The files will remain in the temp folder as it is not deleted and sometimes when you open the same file second or third time, it might conflict with the one already in temp. Outlook Attachment Cleanup is a portable freeware tool which allows users to delete the attachments from temp folders.
It will automatically scan your registry, find all Outlook attachments, and then display them to you in the main window. You can either delete the selected files or remove all the files in one go.
Why use this tool? When you open a secure document on your PC from Outlook which is attached, a local copy is saved in the temp folder. Even though you close Outlook, the document is still accessible from the temp folders. This tool eliminates that risk.
Note: This tool is also compatible with Outlook 2007.
