We have previously covered free applications (Application Monitor and Keep Running) to restart crashed or closed application automatically. Restarter is another free application that automatically monitor and restarts crashed or hung programs and applications. It can monitor and restart any console or form based program or application. If your application crashes or if someone accidentally shuts it down, the Restarter will automatically restart the software with all the parameters that you have specified.
The interface shows the list of all processes running under Windows and you can select any application for monitoring. Once you select the process, you can set the parameters for monitoring.
From the options, you can select restart automatically and also restart minimized. You can also set parameters for the monitoring and also specify the monitor interval which is 60 sec by default.
If you have enabled logging, you can see the process and monitor logs from the log file which clearly indicates the time when the application crashed.
If you are running this application in Windows 7 or Vista, you need to run it in administrator mode. Restarter will help you ensure that your critical programs are always up and running.
