Looking for a simple and yet powerful email client for Windows? Then here is Nylas N1 which is an open source email client available for Windows, Mac and Linux and is now available for download. N1 is designed to be friendly, with an emphasis on clean typography, subtle drop shadows, and delightful buttons.

Although we have default email app on Windows 10, the best feature of Nylas N1 is the extensibility with the help of plugins available.

The app supports almost all email services including Gmail, Outlook.com, iCloud, Yahoo, Microsoft Exchange and also other IMAP and POP3 supported accounts. Once you set up the email account, the app will automatically set the keyboard shortcuts available for the service provider and enable them. You can also set up alert for new features and plugins available for this account.

Once you have set up the account, you can also install extensions available for the account. There is also option to select the view, it can be single panel or dual panel.

There are quite a lot of options available in the preferences menu where you can also set dark theme instead of the default white theme. N1 is designed for extensibility, and includes a JavaScript plugin architecture that enables anyone to create powerful new features. Plugins can add buttons, sidebars, composer elements, or remix the entire UI. Since the app is open source, developers can create their own plugins.

Nylas N1 also support desktop notifications on Windows 10 and works pretty well. We tested using our Gmail account and did not face any issues. As of now there are only limited plugins, but since this is open source, we expect more plugins to come in.

Overall, we liked the interface and functions and looks like a promising client. The app can be downloaded from the link below.
