Microsoft has made available the consumer preview version of Windows 8 and we already have the first security suite made available. Kaspersky, one of the popular security and antivirus maker has released a technical preview version of Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2013 for Windows 8. The new version is specifically suited for Windows 8 and is available for download. If you remember Kaspersky had released a technical preview when Windows 7 was first released.
Kaspersky says that the new version has improved product speed and is fully compatible with Windows 8 Customer Preview, does not reduce PC performance.
The company also mentions that to ensure the highest level of protection the product is integrated with the latest innovations in the IT security sphere that are implemented in Windows 8 Customer Preview. Close integration between KIS Technology Preview and Windows Security Center (WSC) means extending license terms, updating antivirus databases, activating various product features and deactivating the product itself can now be performed directly from WSC.
As expected, the final version could ship in with more features.
