We had covered the GTools extension for Google Chrome which adds more features to the layout of Google+. Golden View is another new extension for Google+ on Chrome which gives you better control on your Google+ stream. It tweaks the layout by hiding images, comments etc and also to mute any particular user. Currently Google+ allows only for muting a post, but this extension allows you to mute a particular user instead of blocking.
Apart from this, you can also use the search bar on the top to search Google+ on Google. These options can be configured from the settings for the extension. You can also make a circle default which means updates from this circle will be shown in the stream.
