Just like unwanted software and toolbars installed on Windows could slow down PC, temp files are also another reason which could slow down PC and occupy large space on your hard disk. SlimCleaner is a nice freeware tool (currently in beta), which is a Windows optimization and cleaning tool. It allows you to clean your system of unwanted software installations, toolbars and unneeded services and also clear the temp files and log stored in Windows.
The cleaner comes in three sections, Windows cleaner, application cleaner and also browser cleaner. The cleaner has wide range and does a neat job of cleaning all the temp files, error logs and browsing history of all major browsers.
The optimization section is pretty much the same feature of Slim Computer (another free tool from the same company), it does optimization of Windows start up and services. There is also an uninstaller included in it.
It also includes a shredder where you can add files or folders for deletion and select the shred level. There is also a Hijack log available for start up, toolbars and ActiveX controls running on your PC. SlimCleaner is a nice tool which is primarily based on the feedback from users on various software and toolbars.
Although in beta, it does the job neatly.
