There are many malicious programs and virus which can install deep into the OS and cause issues, these threats might not be removed by the normal clean up. Norton Power Eraser is a free tool which can remove deeply embedded and difficult to remove malicious software from Windows. With the Norton Power Eraser tool, these threats are specifically targeted, and thus are effectively detected and removed.
Norton Power Eraser is currently in beta version and offered as part of Norton’s Rescue Tools collection. The interface is very simple and easy to use. It scans for any threats and also fix the problems after a confirmation from user.
You can set the detection mode to normal or aggressive, but this again could lead to false positives as shown in the image (MSN Messenger is shown as a risk). The user has the option to select the items which needs to be fixed.
