Network monitoring is a very important activity especially for network engineers as a network failure could bring in lots of problems. OpUtils is a set of free tools to monitor your network activity. It comes with features like ping scan, SNMP Ping, SNMP Scan, Proxy Ping, Trace Route, DNS Resolver, DNS Scan etc. The free edition of OpUtils includes 16 tools to monitor your network connection.
There are role based options available for network monitoring. Once installed, the application provides a web based interface to monitor you network. It is totally web-based, so there is no necessity for local installations, the toolset can be installed in any remote system and can connect using any standard Web browser.
This freeware edition has 16 tools including MIB Node Viewer, MIB Module Viewer, SNMP Walker, SNMP Graph, Trap Receiver, and MIB Browser as well as the usual ping, trace, DNS etc.
You can start or stop the service from the system tray as the application has options to do this.
