Chrome Lock is simple extension for Google Chrome which allows you to lock Chrome. The extension can lock any tab in Chrome easily and don’t let other people use it without your permission. When the tab is locked, you can not click or use the Tab button to highlight any element when it is locked. A shortcut key is available to lock Chrome tabs (SHIFT +L) and a default password is also set.
You can lock and unlock Chrome tabs using SHIFT +L key. Although this extension looks useful, it does not serve the complete purpose because of few defects. One major drawback of the extension is that the password is not changeable, the default password ‘abc123’ cannot be changed although the author says that this would be fixed in future version.
Another drawback is that even when a tab is locked anyone can close the tab without entering the password.
