Last time when we reviewed DiskDigger, a recovery tool for deleted files, it had very limited features. The new release has better search for deleted files and the search and recovery is also very quick. DiskDigger can recover files from any type of media that your computer can read. This includes USB flash drives, memory cards and of course hard drive. The types of files that it recovers include photos, videos, music, documents, and many other formats.

Select Hard Disk

You can now search for deleted files in any driver or hard disk as a whole. Once it searches the drives, you can see complete information of the deleted files before recovering.

Disk Digger

DiskDigger is also very compact and portable. The entire program is a single executable file that you can run from anywhere. You can carry this application in USB drives.

DiskDigger has two modes of operation, Scan the file system for deleted files and Scan the disk surface for traces of lost files. The former one is quicker and also retrieves data better. The latter does a full scan of the drives and relatively slow.

Hey Nirmal, thanks for sharing your thoughts on DiskDigger. Accidently deleting files that you still need is such a common issue; it is great to see that there is an effective tool to recover them. It is also good to know that this new release has improved features and is more proficient. What do you like best about using this recovery tool?
