JDownloader Updated with New Features

JDownloader is a free application written in Java for downloading files from file hosting services like RapidShare or MegaUpload. It simplifies downloading files not only for users with a premium account users of RapidShare or MegaUpload but also for free users. It offers downloading in multiple parallel streams, captcha recognition, automatic file extraction and many more other features. The new version of JDownloader is released with changes to the UI which makes it much more faster and also integrates with Firefox Add-on Flashgot.

The Firefox Extension Flashgot now supports JDownloader and is bundled together with this application. This add-on will be installed to Firefox along with the JDownloader install. JDownloader also supports themes by which you can change the look and feel of the interface.

    I must say that the new version is quite good. I especially like the web inteface that connects to port 8765 although you can change it. If you want to test it go to

    http://localhost:8765

    but make sure that you turn off auto-refresh first because it will refresh every 5 seconds and probably hang your browser.
