Social Whale is a very simple extension for Firefox that can help you post URLs and images to Twitter. You can create short URLs for use with twitter or any other service with just one click. By clicking to the extension icon, the extension will convert the active’s tab URL to short URL and will copy it to the clipboard. The add-on can also upload images to Twitpic and share it on Twitter.
Once installed the extension shows the social whale’s logo in the right bottom of your Firefox browser. Clicking on the whale creates a shortened URL for the current page. You can right click and select photo upload if you want to share photos on Twitter.
Although Social Whale cannot directly update the Twitter status like Twitterfox, it provides URL shortening and image upload to Twitpic.
