Firefox 3 Beta 5 was released yesterday and a portable edition of this beta version has been released by Portable Apps. This is the best way to try out the beta versions of upcoming Firefox 3. With this version, you don’t have to install anything on your PC, just run the application from a USB drive.

Benefit of using this version is that you can check out the features of new Firefox without changing any setting on Firefox 2. The only downside of this apps is that it cannot import the settings from Firefox 2.

I was not able to spot much difference from beta 4. I think most of the bugs are already worked out. Now there are just minor tweaks here and there.

Another downside is that it can be a dilemma to merge the two installs (v2 and 3).

PS: The image float to the left has caused bookmark icons and share this link to wrap around the right side of image.

PPS: I was slow in moderating your comments on TechZilo coz I was away from home, and didn’t want unwanted comments (mainly by trolls).
