Manage and Set up Security Settings for Windows User Accounts

Windows has it own user accounts manager to manage users on any Windows machine, but if you are an administrator of a server or a PC where there are multiple users with different user parameters then you can set up additional security settings for user accounts with Accounts Tuner. Accounts Tuner is a freeware tool which can add extra security settings for local PC accounts as well as server accounts.

Accounts Tuner

The option button in the top part of a window allows to choose management of the local computer or other server connected to the local network. You can select the username from the list and add extra settings to the account including disabling them and also locking them.

Accounts Tuner may be used on computers with following operating systems: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 6 required), Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and later. Both 32- and 64-bit systems supported. Administrator rights required for the program to work. Although these settings can be managed by Windows using policy editor and registry, this program comes handy for users having Windows Home version which does not come with policy editor.
