LockCrypt is a freeware application for storing and encrypting your information to protect it from phishing attempts. This freeware utility is designed to offer you easy-to-use account information management tools that will also encrypt the stored data like website passwords, telephone numbers, credit card details etc so only you can access it, provided you use a strong password. With LockCrypt, your data is only visible after you’ve entered a password.

The first time you run LockCrypt you will be prompted to input a password so that only you will be able to access the application. The application interface is neat and easy to use. LockCrypt is Java based application, so you will need to Java Runtime.

Once you have configured the application, you can start creating and populating your accounts and groups. Also account types can easily be exported in a number of formats that include .CSV, .TXT, .XML and a LockCrypt database specific format.

Another good feature of LockCrypt is the synchronization capability that will enable you to import and export data from and to external sources. The databases supported by this utility are text files and MySQL, the latter allowing you to always access the same database, regardless of location.

LockCrypt can create good strong password by itself using lowercase, uppercase, ASCII, digits and special characters. LockCrypt is completely user customizable be it creating and editing accounts, groups or managing accounts. Apart from this the utility is also available in 12 languages.
