Update: Firefox 3 is officially available for Download. With over 15,000 improvements, Firefox 3 is faster, safer and smarter than ever before.

Today is the official day for the release of Firefox 3 and official release will take place at 10.00 am PDT. Firefox 3 is already updated in Mozilla FTP servers. But downloading them through FTP servers will not be counted for the World record download day. But in case you can’t wait for the official announcement, you can download all versions (Mac, Windows and Linux) from the FTP servers.

We’ll update this post as soon as Firefox 3 is officially available for download. ore than 1.4 million users have already pledged to download Firefox 3 today, but that number could be still high considering the hype Firefox 3 has produced.

It will be available for download for Indians at 10.30 PM, IST.

So What are you waiting for, help Firefox create world record.

    The dates on those files are 6/11 which means that they’re likely RC3

    Moziila should not have given the FTP download as it could hurt the HTTP downloads which count for the Record, rather have the FTP download available after a day.

    hmmm .. I think mozilla is running out of bandwidth … moreover , do you think more than 100,000 people can download simultaneously. I am sure its gonna make site damm slow. However, do you have any idea whether this support WAP sites as by opera… however let me read some reviews ..

    Moreover constant upgrades is something is really hate…firefox 3.1 alpha is also available in ftp servers i read.

    I too feel that they should not have exposed the FTP atleast today.

    Not sure about the WAP site support. I too read that Firefox 3.1 alpha is available.
