  1. Windows 7 is sure creating buzz.
Let me find a Windows 7 theme for my Vista.

  2. I didnt realize that people have alrady started building Windows 7 designs and themes. Did you find anything for vista?

  3. @Joel,
This theme looks more or less like Vista itself, so use in trying it. Moreover Windows 7 will have very less UI changes when compared to Vista.

  4. I am very disappointed with Vista , and hence moved back to XP . Hoping that Win7 will make a buzz !

  5. @ArpitNext,
What was the reason for disappointment? Windows 7 will not make much of a buzz if you didn’t like Vista.

  6. The main reason is its speed . It is quite slow !!! I think that One need @least 3GB RAM to work @ super speed with vista .

Well , I am happy with XP and have choose ubuntu for my laptop . Its gr8 .

  7. Well…
it was quite clear that Windows Vista was not going to be a lot of bang for the buck.
I gave the Mac Platform a try and I bought a macbook with Leopard pre-installed.
It works wonderfully and beautifully just as computers are supposed to!
    I love it!

  8. @ArpitNext,
If you have enough RAM, then Vista speed is not an issue. You cant expect Vista to work speed on a 512MB RAM, but its fast on a 1GB RAM.
You cant set expectations on Windows 7 as its build on Vista Kernel and it will definitely need 2GB RAM. :-) But Still I suggest you to explore Vista more.

  9. there is no official press relese regarding windows 7 screen shots.
so how can i beleive that these are windows 7 themes.

  10. nirmal i don’t think windwos 7 will require 2 gb ram
i think i would require at max 1 gb ram and not much resourse hugry as vista has.

  11. i cant download plz send it to me

  12. @Ajay,
I still cant believe that people are saying they dont like Vista because it needs more RAM. When Windows 95 was released, it would run on 64MB RAM, but when it came to Windows XP, we need a 256 RAM (even though 128 would work), does that mean XP takes more RAM? So its about new technology which needs more memory. Windows 7 is built on Vista Kernal and would have almost the same requirements of Vista.
Coming to the screen shots, its not a real image of Windows 7, but an expected one.

    @Shady,
I have added the download link. Pls check.

  13. well…i think its looking like vista….

  14. I didnt switch to Vista as I didnt find any compelling reason to use it. But there are reasons enough to avoid upgrading. One of them being poor performance. I have 1gb ram. While on XP in DX9 mode crysis runs smoothly at medium detail mode, on Vista in DX9 mode crysis gets stuck at med detail mode.
So, I am using XP with 3rd party addons to get features I like in Vista (eg. the breadcrumb navigation and better appearence).

  15. @Pallab,
Its just the reverse for me, I didnt find any compelling reason to chose XP over Vista, but found lot of reasons to upgrade.
One thing we need to understand is that we cannot compare Vista and XP directly. A 1GB RAM for XP is too high memory but for Vista its an average one. Its just the same way comparing 98 to XP.
Again and again people compare XP and Vista and say Vista is poor performer. I have even seen people supporting the Save XP forum even without having used Vista once.

  16. Yesterday, just out of curiosity I was searching Google News Archives to check out what the response was to XP. Surprisingly it was overwhelmingly positive. The main point was its cost, as almost everyone agreed it was more stable and provided better performance.
The thing is that even if you have 2GB of ram, XP would perform better.
I remember loving XP, as I was changing from ME - which was a total nightmare. The problem for Vista is that its succeeding a very very good product.
I want to switch to vista- I once tried when RC was released. I tried again when I got my new laptop. But both the times got frustrated with the idiosyncrasies of Vista and the relative loss is performance and switched back.

Btw in the same vein have a look at this article ( Vista’s big problem: 92 percent of developers ignoring it - http://news.cnet.com/8301-1078.....j=NewsBlog )
That’s another problem for Vista. Application compatibility. I dont blame MS for this, but fact is due to some reason developers are also preffering xp.

  17. Gr8 discussion on Vista v/s XP .

@Pallab : Quite Agree with you that “I didnt switch to Vista as I didnt find any compelling reason to use it.”

  18. @Pallab,
You are again comparing XP and Vista for 2GB RAM. If you want to know the real difference compare XP on 128MB RAM and Vista on 2GB RAM.

And regarding developers, once MS stops XP, then they will have to start using Vista.

  19. I am sorry Nirmal.

    i edited my blog.

thank you for article from your blog

  20. I liked Vista and i will like win7

  21. Hi

This theme is based on my “VistaVG Ultimate” theme:

    http://www.askvg.com/vistavg-u.....indows-xp/

This theme was created by “deskmundo” who asked for my permission and changed a few resources to make it look-a-like Windows 7.

So the original source of this theme is following:

“Megaleecher” is a kind of warez site which never provides source/credit and post content. So it would be better if you please mention the original link instead of Megaleecher.
