Most of us have personal files, photos and documents on our Windows which we do not want to share with our friends when they are using your PC. While Windows does not offer any default option to lock a folder with a password, there are many third party tools which allows you to lock photos and videos with password in Windows 10.

In this post, we will have a look at one of the free tools in the Windows store which allows users to lock photos and videos. Hide Files and Folders is a free app available in the Windows store which allows users to password protect files and folders.

Lock Photos and Videos

The first time you use the app, you need to set a default password to lock the files. Once you have set the password, each time you open the app, it will first ask the password. To add files and folders to the app, you can use the + icon at the bottom right corner of the app.

You can add multiple files to the app and once you have added the files, the app prompts you to delete the files from the original location so that it will be secure.

Select files

There are three main folders- albums, videos and other files. You can add files to lock in the respective folders.

Features of the app:

  • Import photos, videos, files and folders to app internal memory
  • Delete, Share, Play media files
  • Export files back to local drive
  • Set password, lock anytime and unlock with password

While the app is pretty useful to protect your files, there is no integration with Windows explorer. You can download from the link below.
