Design wise, the device has lot of similarities with the Elife S5.1 and is just 5.5mm thin (the same thickness as that of S5.5 launched last year). But unlike the S5.1, the sides of the frame are grooved and looks pretty good. The frame is made of high quality aluminium magnesium alloy with an unibody design. The power and volume keys are inside the groove preventing from accidental press. The front and rear panel have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, but they are fingerprint magnet. Overall, the phone feels solid in hands.
The display on the phone is 5.2 inch AMOLED full HD panel and the display is great. The screen has great side viewing angles, contrast and legibility. The colors are a bit oversaturated though, which is kind of common on most AMOLED panels. The touch response is very good on the phone.
The phone is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and the Mali-T760 GPU with 2GB RAM and the performance looked decent in our initial testing. The phone has Android 5.0 and Amigo OS 3.0 on top of it which is a custom UI from the company. The Amigo UI has been improved and there are few new features including the Chameleon mode which can adapt the color based on the color you choose on the camera.
On the imaging front, the device has a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and has the thinnest camera sensor from Sony and there is no protruding camera unit on the device. The phone also comes with a 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and videos calls.
The device is priced Rs 24999 and is available in retail stores. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device.
