OneNote is one of the best note taking app with support across multiple platforms and mobiles OS and its integration with Office 2010 suite makes it even better. We have covered many add-ins for Office 2010 on this blog and here is another awesome and must have add-in for OneNote users. Gem for OneNote is an useful add-in which brings in some good features to OneNote users. It adds features like commonly used functions collection, top new page, adjusts and arranging printouts, text box, list inserted files, merge pages, sort sections and pages etc.
Once installed, you can access these functions from the two tabs available, one is Gem and second tab is Content.
If you use multiple live id to share OneNote, sometimes when you want to change live id in OneNote and this add-in helps you to switch live IDs easily. You can rename the Attached File or Media File, sort, merge content and also make print outs more efficient.
Other functions include navigation pan for headings, open notebook by office web app, open common folders, notebook, section, page counter, outline cut and paste, table formulas etc.
