With the release of Windows 8 consumer preview, Microsoft has made some modifications to the themes as well. With the new feature of setting automatic color for Aero themes, the themes extension has been changed to .deskthemepack. This new extension is not compatible with Windows 7, but you can still use the Windows 7 themes on the new version. If you are looking for some awesome themes for Windows 8, here are few which are created from the official Microsoft personalization gallery themes.
