Free Parental control and Internet Monitoring App for Windows- Qustodio

Today with the internet and social networking becoming popular, our kids becoming victims to cyber bullying and kids mostly never tell such issues to parents. In such case a strong need for monitoring what your child does on internet is needed, but manually keeping an eye on such activities are not possible.  Qustodio is a nice freeware tool which helps you protect your kids online. You can see how they use the Internet, set healthy access limits, and protect against dangerous or inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and online predators.

Once installed you can configure it using the wizard options. You can set the account for kids on Windows or use an existing account. You can also set the application to run in hidden mode in Windows or else it works from the system tray. To monitor the usage, you need to create an account with Qustodio and all activities are updated in the site. You can also set a list of sites which can be opened (categories) using the online tool.

Category blocking

Once you have blocked a specific category, if a website from the category is opened, you get the warning message.

Not allowed category

Qustodio monitors your child’s participation in social networks and chat programs as well as their surfing behavior. Discover who your kids talk to, and get instant alerts for suspicious activity. You can also set healthy limits on your children’s online time. Qustodio’s web portal allows you to monitor and manage their activity from any location or device.

Internet usage locks

Qustodio is designed to be tamper-proof, so no matter how technically advanced your kids are, they can’t find ways around the limits and controls you put in place. It is compatible with all the modern browsers and apps, so any internet related activity can be tracked.

Overall, Qustodio is a very good free app to monitor your kids online activity with nice features and options.
