AeroTile is a freeware application for Windows 7 which allows users to set desktop tiles for most of the common system folders. It adds a glassy backgrounds to system folders and places them on your Windows desktop to give you ready access to these folders. This means even if they are placed on desktop, your wallpaper is still visible as it has glassy effects.
You can select from the list of popular system folders like documents, control panel, program files etc. When you check the box, they are added to your desktop. You can always remove from the desktop by closing it.
The only disadvantage is that when you shutdown the PC, the folders are also closed, moreover there is no option to add a custom folder or a folder which you access frequently other than system folders.
