If you are using your desktop to save your files, then over a period of time, it might become cluttered. Auto Hide is a freeware tool for Windows which allows you to quickly hide all the desktop icons and files. The application will work from the system tray minimized and in case you want to see the icons or files, you can just left click the mouse to view them. The icons and files will be visible for a specified time, which is configurable and then it hides.

Auto Hide

For automatically hiding icons, you can set a time delay of 3 sec to 100 sec and this can be done using the slider. You can also set the method to show the icons on desktop, either by left click or middle click or right click.

You can start the app with Windows which means your desktop files are always invisible. You can also hide the taskbar using the tool.

Auto Hide Icons is a simple, but useful tool to hide and also access files quickly on desktop.
