HTC Home is a very popular desktop widget for clock and weather for Windows and the author also released Metro Home, with a Metro UI. Now they have released a new beta version of HTC Home with new features. The new HTC Home comes with separate options for clock and weather widget and comes with different skins for both. Clock widget can show additional information such as wind speed or humidity. There are some different icons for different wind speed and humidity.
On Windows 7 taskbar these are two widgets and show separately. The options for these two are also separate making the customization easier.
HTC Home Extras are additions that extends functionality of widgets. It can be weather providers or resources or something else.
The default weather provider MSN was improved. Now it supports localized search and automatically calculates sunrise/sunset time. Overall these changes makes the already popular HTC Home much more better. Although the app is currently in beta it works well with Windows 7.
