We have covered various free utilities to download photos from Flickr and Picasa. Photo Desktop Downloader is another free tool to download photos from popular photo sharing sites. The difference between photo desktop downloader and other apps is that this tool uses RSS feed to fetch the photos. The application supports downloading photos from Flickr, Picasa Web, Photobucket, Fotocommunity and Panoramio.
To download photos, click on the Add feed button and this open a RSS feed window. Select the service from where you need to download and enter the RSS feed of the page. The RSS feed can be collected from the actual webpage.

Once the feed is added, select the destination for photos and start the upload process by clicking the update button. We tried downloading photos from Flickr and the application worked well downloading the photos.
