Windows Live team had announced that Windows Live Spaces is going to shut down and all blogs will be moved to WordPress.com. They are also offering an option to download the blog to desktop. LSSaver is a desktop tool which allows you to download the complete Live Space blog in HTML format. It saves useful information such as blog title, content and comments, in particular, without any banners, links which provide blog functionalities. It also allows you to save the pictures included in the blog to local disk also.
The blog you are downloading needs to be public and you do not need the password, just enter the username or UID of the blog and it fetches all the posts. Click on the save button to download it to your desktop. If you are having a large blog (with a large archive), the application might take time to download it.
You can selectively download the posts from the archives.
