Social River is an Adobe Air based freeware application which brings Facebook feeds to desktop. Once installed, you need to login to Facebook and authenticate the application to use your profile. The application displays latest live feeds from your friends on the desktop so that you will not miss an update.
Social River runs on top of Windows 7 taskbar and scrolls all the time displaying the live feeds. It updates itself with latest feeds at regular intervals of time.
You can also dock the flow on the side or top. If you want detailed information on the status of your friends, you can click on the status updates and a popup window appears with more details on the status.
