There are many freeware tool to change the start button orb in Windows 7, but all of these implement i by modifying the Explorer.exe file which in turn could become corrupt. Win7 Start Orb Loader is a free portable tool which allows you to easily change the Start Orb without having to modify the explorer.exe file. The application can also integrate to the Windows 7 context menu for easily changing the start button.
You can choose different start orb for each user. If you once check ‘Enable start orb loader’ option (which requires administrative rights), every user (including standard users) can choose his/her own start orb with this program.
Usage of Windows 7 start Orb Loader;
- Extract w7soldr.exe and run w7soldr.exe.
- Check ‘Options’ > ‘Enable start orb loader’.
- Press ‘Browse’ button to choose the location that contains start orbs you want to use.
- Choose a start orb you want to use.
- Press ‘Save changes’ button to save changes
