TwitterBackup is a freeware tool written in Java, which allows you to easily back up your Tweets. TwitterBackup is a tool that downloads all your tweets and stores them in XML format.
You need to specify the Twitter user name and the password and select a file to back up the tweets. In case you want an incremental backup, you can use this same file next time you do a backup.
Depending on the number of your updates, the backup process can take a long time. The user credentials are stored on local PC for backing up.
