DiffDir is a freeware tool which compares and also synchronizes directories on Windows by analysis of the content of files. DiffDir allows you to visualize the differences of the content for the “Text” files and uses MD5 check sum to manage the controls. You can select the directories to be compared and the tool will compare the files and also the MD5 checksum.
DiffDir shows the numbers of lines and the modified lines. When synchronizing, DiffDir only copy the files where a difference has been found thus limiting the transfer of files. DiffDir is an easy-to-implement, user-friendly piece of software designed to help you.
DiffDir can also view the following differences;

- Dates of changes
- File contents.
- You can watch for files of type “text” numbers and changed lines.
