AnyConnect – Free FTP/FTPS/SSH/Telnet/Terminal Client.

If you are looking for an all in one desktop freeware for FTP, SSH and Telnet, then AnyConnect is a good option. AnyConnect is a a free FTP/ FTPS/ SSH/ Telnet/ Terminal client software. AnyConnect supports multiple connections at once in a mixed mode which means even if you are connected to an FTP, you can always make another connection to a terminal or a Telnet at the same time.

  • FTP
  • Explicit and implicit FTPS over SSL/TLS
  • SecureFTP (SFTP) via SSH
  • SSH terminal connection
  • Telnet terminal connection

The interface is pretty neat and offers drag and drop for file uploading along with progress bar for file upload and download. It can also display the properties of local as well as remote files. There is also a real time logging feature.

    Not free for SSH! Requires you purchase a license for SecureBlackBox to kill the 1.5 time delay between terminal session commands.

    I have not used anyconnect but if it’s not freeware thumbs down for it. Windows does not have tabbed ssh application that is as good as linux terminal. The free ware Putty connection manager is the one I use. Though it’s not a great one, it works for me to connect to linux servers with a single click.
