There are lots of freeware application to back up files in Windows, including the built in feature in Windows 7 and Vista to back up files. 7Backup is another free tool to take a back up of your files, but 7Backup compresses your back up file using 7-Zip compression which means you save more space on your disk drives for saving the back up. It can also take a back up of the network location.
The interface is pretty straight forward and you can enter the folders which needs to be backed up. You can also add filter to exclude files based on their extension. In case of backing up files from network location, you can also login as another user for the network computer.
