Desktop Gmail Notifier with Gmail Growl

We have already covered desktop application for Gmail notification for Windows 7. Gmail Growl is a free tool for Windows which will keep you informed about new mails in Gmail. Gmail Growl keeps you updated on new mails in your Gmail Inbox in a fancy way. Apart from the notifications for new mails, Gmail Growl gives you direct access to your Gmail Inbox and you can compose new mails from the system tray.

Gmail Growl uses IMAP IDLE for Gmail, which provides near-instantaneous alerts of new messages. You can disable push notification from the preferences Window.

    Very cool! Do you know if Outlook 2010 supports IMAP idle mode? That would be way better than just polling every 10-15 minutes!
