WebCam to GIF is a handy free tool that allows you to create animated GIF images from your live webcam broadcast. Use this to create an animated avatar for forums, social sites etc. The utility is very simple to use and it can create GIF images from the webcam photos.
To create a GIF image, capture several frames using the webcam and the frames will be available on the right hand side. You can set the frame delay and image size. There is also option to set the image quality using the slider.
This application is based on Adobe AIR apps, so you will need Adobe AIR run time for installing and running this application.
It would be nice to see a decent application to convert all videos to animated GIF. There really hasn’t been a good free one out there.
