VLC player is one of the most preferred audio and video player as it supports almost all formats, but VLC player has very less aesthetic appearance. Kantaris Media Player is a Free open source media player which has all the features of VLC player and the looks of Windows media player. Kantaris is developed based on VideoLAN client (VLC).  The best feature of Kantaris is that no separate codes are required since its developed on VLC.     It looks pretty and is mostly functional, however it doesn’t play nice with GNUMP3d. It seems the only player that allows for drag and drop streaming music from a GNUMP3d server is WinAmp. (iTunes will play the songs but does not auto resolve the addresses)

    It’s tempting, in some ways. I wonder how it is compared to GOMPlayer, my current player of choice.
