At the start of 2014, the entry level or the budget category was a segment where OEMs were not really focused and many of the smartphones which were launching had either poor hardware or outdated software. But in May 2014, things changed drastically when Motorola announced the Moto E with decent specs and came with latest software. This is when other OEMs starting bringing in competitive devices.

One of the surprising feature of the device is that it comes with 16GB internal storage. There isn’t any other smartphone which offers 16GB below Rs 10000 price point.The phone also has 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera for video calls. The phone runs the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat with the Emotion UI. The phone also has dual SIM card support.
Micromax A190 Canvas HD Plus
The device comes with 5 inch IPS LCD display with 720p resolution and is powered by 1.5 GHz MT6591 Hexa core chipset. The device comes with 1GB of RAM and also has 8GB internal storage. The memory on the device can be expanded via microSD card. The user available memory is at 4.76GB. The display also gets Gorilla Glass protection.
