Microsoft Office Live Workspace Beta now Available
Microsoft Office Live Workspace is now available for public. This was initially made available to only few users. Office Live Workspace is Microsoft’s answer to Google Docs. With Office Live workspace, you can store all your Office documents in one place, share files with other users, whom you control who can view and edit and it works with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
The Maximum file size supported is 50 MB and Office live will be currently available only in English. Office Live supports only IE and Firefox. Also included in Office live is the ability to synchronize Contact, Tasks, and Event lists with Outlook 2003 and 2007.
But one of the major disadvantage is that you cannot edit documents online, all documents uploaded are read only and you will need to download it to computer to edit it. Zoho and Google docs have much more features when compared to Office Live and Microsoft needs to improve on features to give some competition.
