Windows 8’s new modern UI or the previously called the Metro UI provides users with a different experience when compared to earlier versions of Windows. The initial test versions of Windows 8 allowed users to skip the modern start screen, but this was prevented in the final build of Windows 8. Although there are some apps to bypass the start screen and boot to desktop directly, these have either the issue of showing start screen for a few seconds before loading the desktop or modifying the system files.
