If you have used an Apple device, you might be already knowing or heard about iMessage. iMessage is an instant messaging service developed by Apple Inc. and launched in 2011. iMessage functions exclusively on Apple platforms: macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS. It includes sending text messages, images, videos, and documents; getting delivery and read statuses. But you cannot access the iMessage on Windows 11 since Apple doesn’t offer that functionality. But now with the Phone Link app, you can access iMessage on Windows 11. You can send and receive messages using Windows 11 if you have a connected iOS device.

How to Use iMessage on Windows 11:

Microsoft has released the new Phone Link app for Windows 11 (currently available only in beta), while this app was already available, it was compatible only with Android. But with the new update, you can connect your iPhones to Windows 11. We have written in detail how to connect and configure your iPhone or iOS device with Windows 11 using Phone Link. For iMessage to work on Windows 11, you need to first connect using the Phone link.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to Windows 11 using Phone Link (detailed instructions available here)

Step 2: Once you have connected to Windows 11 using the Phone link app, you will see two tabs at the top. One is for calls, the second one is for Messages.

Step 3: When you are in the Messages tab, you might be required to give permission on iOS for PC to access messages. You will need to enable notifications and contact sync in the Bluetooth settings on an iOS device.

Step 4: If you want to compose a message, click on the compose button in the messages and since you have been given access to contacts, you can search for people on Windows 11.
