When you want to do business meetings with people in other countries, one of the main barriers have been the language. While English is the most popular language across the world, there are many countries where English is not the primary language and in such situations you need a real time translator. Phone Call Translator is a new service which is a real-time voice translator, this means it can translate voice calls real-time.

Translate Voice Calls

Using the app, you can call worldwide in 30 popular languages and make calls to all devices (even landlines). You can either call a mobile phone or any landline using the app and it will do the real-time translation for you. The details of the conversation are available only to you.  A call costs from $0.18 USD per minute and the service uses VoIP – The whole dialogue is broadcast on the screen with text for better control.

How to Use the App:

  1. Install this application on your iOS or Android device
  2. Register and create application account
  3. Select your language
  4. Select the language of the person to whom you are calling
  5. Enter the phone number with the country code
  6. Make a call
  7. Speak in turn as if on a walkie-talkie

Once you make the call, the conversation will be translated for both of you – the caller and person calling, so you can talk with someone in different countries who don’t speak your language. There is no need for the person receiving call to install the app. It is available for both Android and iOS. The call charge per minute will be displayed before call depending on the phone carrier or the country you are calling. Your talk will be translated by machine translation so there will be delays in 1-2 seconds between phrases depending on it’s length.

Here is a quick video on the service.
