Windows Hello is a new feature in Windows 10 which offers a more personal way to sign in to your Windows 10 devices with just a look or a touch. Most PCs with fingerprint readers already work with Windows Hello, and more devices that can recognize your face and fingerprint will be available in the future. Samsung has now updated Samsung Flow app to support login to Windows 10 using your Samsung smartphone. Using the app, you can authenticate your Tablet/PC with your smartphone, share content between devices, and sync notifications from your smartphone to your Tablet/PC.

Requirements for Samsung Flow:

  • Windows Tablet/PC: Windows 10 OS Creators update or newer (Galaxy TabPro S, Galaxy Book, PC)
  • Android Tablet: Android Nougat OS or newer (Galaxy Tab S3, etc.)
  • Android Phone: Android Mashmallow OS or newer (Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, A5, A7, etc.)

You can either use a tablet or a smartphone for unlocking and login to Windows 10.

If your PC is compatible with Windows Hello, you can connect your Samsung smartphone or tablet to Windows 10 using Bluetooth and register this device as Windows Hello device. You also need to add a fingerprint unlock your Samsung phone for this to work.

To check if your device supports Windows Hello, select the Start button, then select Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options to set up Windows Hello. Under Windows Hello, you’ll see options for face, fingerprint, or iris if your PC has a fingerprint reader or a camera that supports it. Once you’re set up, you’ll be able to sign in with a quick swipe or glance.

If you do not see the option mentioned above, this means your device is supported for Windows Hello.

Features Supported on Samsung Flow:

  • Login to Windows
  • Sync notifications from phone to PC
  • File transfer
  • Turn on Wi-Fi hotspot on mobile to connect the PC to internet

You can download Samsung flow from the Play Store using this link.
