Cortana has been one of the most useful additions to Windows 10 and it is the digital personal assistant in Windows. With Cortana you can perform a lot of actions like searching for files, apps, setting reminders and more. Microsoft has today announced the new version of Windows 10 build, the Insider Preview Build 14986 for PC.
This new build is available to insiders in the fast ring and this brings in new features including some new features to Cortana.
If you are in the Insider program, you can now get hold of this build. In the new build 14986, Cortana will be coming with more voice commands. Microsoft has mentioned that being able to control your computer with just your voice is one of the top requests they got for Cortana and now the company has implemented this feature.
Now you can shut down your PC just by asking Cortana. You can also restart, lock, or put the system to sleep, and raise and lower your system volume with just your voice. So if you are using the latest build 14986, you can now use this voice commands on Cortana.
Apart from this feature, you can now use Cortana to control music playback on more of your favourite music apps (EN-US only). Starting with this build, we’ve enabled natural language compatibility for iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio.
