After launching the Gionee Marathon M5 last year, the company has now announced the Lite version of the Marathon M5 in India. The Marathon series of devices from Gionee have been known for high capacity batteries and the latest was the Marathon M5 launched back in June last year. The Marathon M5 Lite comes with a 5.0 inch (1280 X 720p) HD IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection and is powered by MediaTek MT6735 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The Marathon M5 Lite comes with 4000mAh battery.
There is also 32GB internal storage available on the phone. The device is inbuilt with a smart power consumption system especially under Extreme mode; it can provide a talk time of 3 hours and standby time of upto 32 hours even if there is only 5% of power left. The M5 Lite can be charged comparatively faster and is also capable of reverse charging – it can be used as a power bank to charge spare cell phones at the same time.
M5 Lite has a standby time 450 hours and 32.7 hours of talk time. The Marathon M5 Lite packs an 8MP rear camera and 5MP Front camera for selfies.
Marathon M5 Lite runs on the advanced Amigo 3.1, based on Android 5.1 and a specially designed Music Player. The Marathon M5 Lite is equipped with some of the other features like Chameleon, Pic-note, face beauty and DTS Sound. The phone comes with dual SIM card and 4G LTE support. The phone is available in Golden color and priced Rs 12,999.
