List of Android Phones Confirmed to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

Google released the Android 6.0 or also called as Android Marshmallow few weeks back and it is now available for Nexus devices. The new update comes with new features which we covered already. As usual, the first set of devices which will get this update are the Nexus devices.

Google has already confirmed that the roll out of Android 6.0 to Nexus devices have already begun and will be complete in coming days. Now, most of the OEMs are working to provide the latest update for their flagship devices and if you use an Android phone, you might be eager to know when your phone will be getting the update. So here is the list of all devices confirmed or expected to get the latest Android 6.0 update.

Android-Marshmallow

Google Nexus Devices:

  • Nexus 5
  • Nexus 6
  • Nexus 7 (2013)
  • Nexus 9
  • Nexus Player
  • Android One

Motorola:

Motorola has listed the devices which will be getting Android 6.0, but hasn’t mentioned the time frame for the update.

  • 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)
  • 2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen)
  • 2015 Moto X Play
  • 2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
  • 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)
  • 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia (2nd gen)
  • 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE (2nd gen)
  • DROID Turbo
  • 2014 Moto MAXX
  • 2014 Moto Turbo

HTC:

HTC has confirmed that the below list of devices will be getting the update before the end of this year and few devices will be getting it early 2016.

  • HTC One M9
  • HTC One M8
  • HTC One M9+
  • HTC One E9
  • HTC One E9+
  • HTC One ME
  • HTC One E8
  • HTC One M8 EYE
  • HTC Butterfly 3
  • HTC Desire 826
  • HTC Desire 820
  • HTC Desire 816

Samsung:

While there is no confirmation from Samsung on the devices getting this update, we expect Samsung to release it for most of their high end phones including.

  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • Galaxy S6
  • Galaxy S6 Edge
  • Galaxy Edge+
  • Galaxy Note 4
  • Galaxy Note 5
  • Galaxy Alpha
  • Galaxy A8
  • Galaxy A7

Sony:

Sony has also listed the devices getting this latest update, but there is no mention on the time.

  • Xperia Z5
  • Xperia Z5 Compact
  • Xperia Z5 Premium
  • Xperia Z4 Tablet,
  • Xperia Z3+
  • Xperia Z3
  • Xperia Z3 Compact
  • Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
  • Xperia Z2

  • Xperia M5
  • Xperia C5 Ultra
  • Xperia M4 Aqua
  • Xperia C4

LG:

There is no confirmation from LG, but we expect the flagships to get the Android 6.0 update.

  • LG G4
  • LG G3
  • LG G Flex 2

Other devices which we think will be getting Android 6.0 update, but not confirmed

  • ASUS Zenfone 2 Series
  • Zenfone 2 Selfie
  • Zenfone 2 Laser
  • OnePlus Two
  • Honor 7

We will update the list with more devices once we have the confirmation from OEMs.
